The hatch covers are to be of weather tight.
The folding hatch covers are hydraulic operated by external cylinders.
Weather deck hatch covers are battened to the coaming by means of Quick Acting Cleats.
Weather tightness between weather deck hatch cover and the coaming is achieved by square rubber seal which is made of EPDM against the stainless steel compression bar ( hot rolling SUS304).
Weather tightness in the joints is achieved by square rubber seal against the stainless steel compression bar ( hot rolling SUS304) on the adjacent panel.
A double-drain is arranged in the cross-joints and on the coaming profile

While two pumps running, theoretical time for opening/closing per pair excluding cleating and locking at ambient temperature of +20°C is approx. 3.0/2.5 minute, theoretical time for opening/closing two pairs for one hatch at the same time excluding cleating and locking is approx. 6.0/5.0 minute.
In the event of failure of one pump or one e-motor, the hatch cover equipment can be operated by remaining pump/motor at a half speed
