Carpenter Stoppers have a hinged body that has a fixed smooth groove on one side. It is movable wedge, grooved with lay of cable, on the facing side. The movable wedge enables the cable to be drawn tight. They are individually proof tested to twice the working load limit of XIP wire rope.
The cable can be released while under the full tension by releasing the latch on the hinged lid. The Lid is securely latched and locked with a pin while in use.
Shackle holes are provided for rigging a bridle to the stopper. Bridles are available with stoppers if desired.
